Music parallels visual art. Both organize space to create their impressions. The painter designs the two dimensions of a canvas so that they multiply, suggesting many other dimensions from which the viewer can derive a story, a sensation. The composer arranges sounds in space to do the same.

Both are equal partners in my practice, complementing and contradicting one another. Together they create an environment of corneal and aural seeing, thinking and feeling. That is why I have put them together in each gallery.

I work as a solo artist, Menchaca, and as part of a duo, Hourloupe, with Anar Badalov. Here’s our latest release, on Silver Rocket Records (Prague), Levitating Fields. You can find more at SoundCloud and Bandcamp.
